Acknowledgement of Country

At Sticks and Stones Therapeutic Services, we stand on the traditional lands of the Wiradjuri people. As we embark on our daily mission to provide support and guidance through counselling to adults, children, adolescents, and families, we acknowledge and pay our deepest respects to the Wiradjuri people, the Traditional Custodians of this land.

We extend our heartfelt respect to their Elders, past, present, and emerging, for they hold the memories, the traditions, the culture, and the hopes of Indigenous Australia. We also recognize the resilience and strength of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples who have been sharing and healing in their journeys with us. Our service is enriched by the wisdom, diversity, and enduring spirit of all Indigenous communities.

In our work, we are committed to honoring these connections, to learning from the knowledge and practices that have been carefully preserved and passed down through generations. We strive to create a space that is not only safe and supportive but also acknowledges and celebrates the significance of cultural heritage and connection to country.
